San Francisco is accessible via several major highways: U.S. 101 and Calif. 1 from the north and south; and I-80 and I-580 from the northeast subway map nyc and east, respectively. To reach Muir Woods from San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge heading north on U.S. 101, take the Stinson Beach/Calif. 1 exit heading west, and follow the signs. The park is open daily from 8am to sunset; the entrance fee is $3 per person 17 years or older. There s a gift shop, educational displays, and docent-led tours that you re welcome to follow. No urban shoreline is as stunning as San Francisco s. The Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which wraps around the northern and western edges of the city and is run by the National Park Service, lets visitors fully enjoy it.
