PIER 39, on the waterfront at Embarcadero and Beach Street (& 415/ 981-8030), is a 41 2-acre waterfront complex, a few blocks east of Fisherman s Wharf. But don t expect a slice of old-time maritime life. This is the busiest mall of the group, with more than 100 touristy stores.
